Jowizaza’s Father, Jezco Oil Founder Joseph Ezeokafor Reportedly Kidnapped While Praying in Anambra

Sir Joseph Ezeokafor, founder of Jezco Oil and father of popular Nigerian Instagram personality Jowizaza, has reportedly been kidnapped in Awka, Anambra State.

Ezeokafor was allegedly abducted while praying at a Catholic prayer ground in the Ifite area of Awka, according to reports.

The incident was reportedly disclosed by lawyer Chukwudi Iwuchukwu, who said the businessman had gone to the prayer ground alone for overnight prayers without his usual security personnel.

According to a statement attributed to Ezeokafor’s family, armed men reportedly stormed the Precious Blood Prayer Ministry ground around 2 a.m. on August 5, 2026, while he was praying.

The family said Ezeokafor had regularly visited the prayer ground for his monthly devotion and often went without security personnel because of his strong faith in the sanctity of the place.

There have also been reports circulating on social media claiming that the businessman had been released. However, the family has reportedly dismissed those reports, saying he remains in captivity.

The Anambra State Police Command has also confirmed that an operation is ongoing to secure his release, according to a report by Arise News.

Ezeokafor is the founder of Jezco Oil and Jezco Group and is widely known as the father of Jowizaza, a prominent Nigerian Instagram personality.

His reported abduction has caused concern in his hometown of Ekwulobia, where the community reportedly postponed its annual New Yam Festival following the incident.

The family has appealed for prayers and support as efforts continue to secure his safe return.

Note: The kidnapping remains a developing story, and details may change as security agencies and the family provide further updates.
