Zadok Yohanna Joins Brighton Pre-Season as Nigerian Talent Targets Premier League Breakthrough

Nigerian winger Zadok Yohanna has been officially integrated into Brighton & Hove Albion’s first-team squad for pre-season as he continues his adaptation to English football and the demands of the Premier League.

The 19-year-old, who completed a record-breaking transfer from Swedish side AIK earlier this summer, is expected to feature in Brighton’s preparations for the 2026/27 campaign after the club opted against sending him out on loan.

Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler has previously identified Yohanna as an exciting young prospect, highlighting his pace, creativity, and ability to influence play in the final third. The club, however, has also stressed that the winger will require time to fully adapt to the intensity and physical demands of English football.

Yohanna’s rapid rise from Kaduna-based Ikon Allah Football Academy to one of Europe’s most highly regarded young wingers has attracted considerable attention, with Nigerian fans particularly eager to see him make his Premier League debut.

As pre-season progresses, attention will remain on whether the highly rated teenager can earn a place in Brighton’s plans for the upcoming season.
